Tyler Jenkins
About
Tyler practices in the firm’s civil litigation group with a focus on insurance defense. Tyler graduated from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Following his undergraduate program, he earned a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, Tyler served as a Senator of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Honor Council. He received a CALI award for academic excellence in Law Practice Management & Economics. Tyler was one of twelve students from The Charleston School of Law invited into membership to the James L. Petigru American Inn of Courts based upon demonstrated leadership, professionalism, public service, and academic commitment.
Upon graduation from law school, Tyler worked as an Assistant Solicitor for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, as a member of the Berkeley County office in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. During his time as an Assistant Solicitor, Tyler prosecuted a variety of criminal cases in Family Court and General Sessions Court, including drug crimes, firearm offenses, domestic violence, property crimes, white collar crimes and violent crimes. Tyler then served as the DUI Special Prosecutor for the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. There he handled all matters regarding alcohol and drug impaired driving charges. During his time as Special Prosecutor, Tyler was an active member of the 9th Circuit South Carolina Law Enforcement Network and Berkeley County Subcommittee Against Impaired Driving.
Tyler was born and raised in Moncks Corner, where he still currently resides. Tyler is an active member and President-elect of the Moncks Corner Rotary Club, where he enjoys fellowship and service to his local community. In his free time, Tyler enjoys going to the beach, golfing, tennis, and eating at all the many restaurants the lowcountry has to offer.
