Emily’s practice focuses on insurance defense litigation. Prior to joining Clawson & Staubes, Emily worked as a family law attorney in the Charleston area handling all aspects of domestic and family relations matters, including divorce, separate support and maintenance, child custody, name changes, adoptions, contempt actions, and modification actions.

Emily graduated in 2018 from the College of Charleston where she majored in International Studies. She received her Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Emily was involved in the Children’s Advocacy and Family Law Society, Women in Law Society, Law Links Mentorship Program, the Judicial Observation Program, and the Externship Program. Through the Judicial Observation Program and the Externship Program, Emily spent valuable time observing the courtrooms and assisting in the research and case management performed behind the scenes in chambers of the Honorable Jack A. Landis, the Honorable Wayne M. Creech, and the Honorable Michèle Patrão Forsythe.

Emily lives in the Grand Strand with her husband and their Boykin Spaniel. In her free time, Emily enjoys running, spending time with family, frequenting the beach, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
